Unique Approach
North Shore & City Hypnotherapy (Sydney) believes that combining therapies is the most effective way to produce results.
North Shore & City Hypnotherapy's principal therapist, Samantha Jones, believes that no one single technique or therapy is superior to others, nor indeed will suit everyone, so the techniques and therapies are tailored to individual clients based on their case histories.
Many techniques are originals of North Shore & City Hypnotherapy, so you can be assured that you are getting quality, individualized service.
It is this unique customized approach, along with being results-driven, that is the springboard to Samantha Jones' success.
Style
At North Shore & City Hypnotherapy, the emphasis is on achieving lasting change quickly, effectively and comfortably.
The style here is very much solution-focused and results-driven. And for this to occur it is paramount that there is also a clear roadmap established so we know where we are heading towards, and what needs to be done to get there. Often therapy at North Shore & City Hypnotherapy includes uncovering the causes of issues, gently clearing away emotional blockages, uncovering negative patterns and re-establishing new healthy positive ones.
Samantha Jones uses several therapies and techniques along with many original ones to arrive at your destination in a very unique condensed and powerful way. This may involve one session or may be several sessions, depending on the individual needs of clients.
Patterns
Perhaps you have heard of Pavlov and his dog experiment? In a nutshell, the experiment involves activating a neutral stimulus such as ringing a bell prior to presenting food to a dog. By pairing the sound of the bell with food several times, the dog will begin to salivate just at the sound of the bell, in expectation that food will follow. This is called a conditioned response.
Many experiments have been conducted on humans as well, and what we know for sure is that we can often, unknowingly, be programmed to react or respond to situations, places, sound, colour, food, smell, people, etc., in the same way. In other words, we form associations:
For example, how do you react when you imagine your Mother, Father or loved one calling you by your first name in a certain tone of voice?
What runs through your mind?
What feelings run through your body?
What do you tell yourself?
What do Brussels sprouts mean to you?
How do you feel when you imagine them?
Can you remember what they taste like?
What about chocolate?
Do you have similar or different responses?
What do you do when you have a certain feeling?
Do you laugh?
Do you cry?
Do you tell someone about it?
Do you suppress it?
Do you eat?
Do you smoke?
Do you shop?
Do you gamble?
Do you exercise?
These are examples of some associations (i.e., patterns) in our lives. And there are many less obvious complex patterns, such as getting into relationships with the same outcome or with similar types of people, feeling a certain way with other people or when alone, feeling overwhelmed with life, etc.
Unbeknown to us, we can seek to play out these patterns repeatedly, because they have become habitual and familiar to us. They are sometimes very complex, yet therapy at North Shore & City Hypnotherapy will help you uncover, identify and unravel these individual patterns and their causes, and break the chains so that you respond to life in a more appropriate manner.
